TARGETED SUPPORT

WHAT SUPPORT DO WE OFFER?

We support young people with the following:

•    Support that works with you to overcome barriers or things that are holding you back
•    Getting into education or employment
•    Planning your future
•    Issues at school or low attendance
•    Managing mental health concerns
•    Risk taking behaviour
•    Confidence and self-esteem
•    We will also help you find other services if we are not the best people to help!

Our support can help with, but is not limited to improving:

•    Increased confidence
•    Increase in self-esteem
•    Improved emotional health and well-being
•    Increased knowledge around sexual health
•    Improved attendance in Education, Employment and Training

In the past 12 months we have supported young people with; family breakdown, housing, mental health, sexual health, bereavement, anger, exams, finding work, engaging with school and college and planning for the future.

Demand for 1-1 support is high and we do have a referral system. If you hate filling in forms please give us a ring and we will be happy to talk you through the process.

HOW TO GET THIS SUPPORT?

  • Ask an Engagement or Youth Worker

  • Ask your school or college

  • If you already have a worker, they can refer you

  • Contact your local youth hub

  • Use our referral form

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

  • A referral is made with your consent

  • Once accepted you are allocated a worker to support you

  • You and your engagement worker will meet somewhere convenient for you to talk about your strengths and the things you need help with, creating a full assessment of your needs

  • You will work together to agree key areas of support, set some goals and then work to achieve these

This can be through regular a weekly meeting, conversations, positive activities, group work or advice session. This support will be flexible to meet your needs.

WHAT IF I CHANGE MY MIND?

You chose to work with us so you can choose to stop at any point. Should you wish to stop before work is completed, we will do our best to make sure you have suitable alternative support and you can contact us again if you wish to.

WHAT DO OUR YOUNG PEOPLE SAY?

“It Helps give direction, options & ideas, clear thinking and support”

“They have helped me through the darkest times, and I know that they can help anyone who needs it”

“Support given has or will boost confidence so much”

“Support workers are super helpful and nice. They listen to your problems and do what they think is best. Also listen”
